What an amazing lunch experience! The sangria drink has a pleasant taste of citrus fruits mixed with fragrant spices that its fragrance travels up to the senses as it goes down. What a pleasant sensation. It was delicious, cooling and welcoming. My Truffle Carbonara was creamy, tasty, the egg yoke added thickness to the sauce. The server shaved an entire truffle thinly into my carbonara. It was the best pasta I have had. The portion size was perfect. I was full and satisfied but not uncomfortably stuffed, and had room for dessert. The dessert had to be the homemade tiramisu. The first bite was heaven! It was light and creamy with Chocolate coffee dust on top, dipped into the slightly sweet and sour fruit sauce, it was heaven. We also had the Eggplant Caponata to start. The eggplant was chilled, flavorful and soft. The seared Foie Gras was fresh, buttery and creamy. Hubby loved his risotto with a piece of seared Foie Gras on top. We finished with 2 espressos, served in two cute little espresso cups. Sitting by the floor to ceiling window people watching was fun. The service was great and food came out at the right speed.
Walked past this place many times when visiting Waikiki and always been on my list. Finally got to try it to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was a fun night and sitting outside was really nice! The food was good! But I think it's a little overpriced for what it was. I enjoyed the amberjack and beef carpaccio a lot. The seared duck was delicious too. And loved how the risotto had foie gras mixed into it. Their lamb chops were tender and juicy too. If you're in the area already, and feel like having a nicer dinner that night, it would be a good choice. I don't know if I would drive to Waikiki for it though.
Best lunch spot on the island! If you live here, you have to take advantage of the Kama'Aina discount. All the pastas were delicious. They now serve lunch with chili oil. I recommend pouring it over everything! Service was amazing. They gave is free sorbet.
Service 5/5 -- Gabriel was super energetic, attentive, and accommodating. Food came out quickly Ambiance 5/5 -- Nicely decorated, were there around noon on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy Food 3.5 -- Arugula salad was refreshing, nice balance. Pomodoro was great, I would eat it again. Uni (sea urchin) pasta was super salty... We sent it back and got a bolognese, kitchen graciously remade my pomodoro as well so the food would arrive at the same time. Bolognese was very sweet but better tasting than the uni pasta. I wouldn't order the uni or bolognese again. We got a complimentary sorbet which was very tasty, refreshing, and not too sweet. Overall pleasant experience, mostly because of the service. Food was expensive and not very impressive. I would come back again if it were convenient and a happy hour situation.
This Italian restaurant in Waikiki offers an outstanding dining experience. Both the pasta carbonara and the bolognese were amazing and full of flavor--definitely 10/10. The wine was also really good, complementing the meal perfectly. The service was perfect. Since it was our anniversary, they gave my girlfriend and me a complimentary dessert, adding a special touch to our evening. The restaurant itself is cute and ideal for dates, making it a memorable and delightful place to dine. Highly recommended for a romantic night out.
My friend recommended this place to me previously and I was finally able to visit. I had an overall very pleasant experience dining here. My partner booked a reservation for us (first date at the time hah) here and we were VERY late (his fault smh). I was very hesitant to go and want to just go somewhere else at that point as I didn't want to be "one of those people", but he said to just treat it as any walk in. We went in and were able to get seated fairly quickly. The ambiance felt very classy, along with my view of the kitchen from my seat which was very cool. As someone who is VERY indecisive, I took a while just sitting there with the menu. After speaking to the waiter, he recommended for us to try the prix-fixe menu and choose different times for the second and main course so we (especially indecisive little me) can try it all. Food highlights: Ricci Di Mare (Sea Urchin Pasta) 8.9/10 it was delicious, very flavorful and definitely had a lasting impression. Only issue I had with this dish was the oil started to separate from the pasta/sauce/uni. That is usually a high of being slightly overdone. This became quite obvious and pretty visually unappealing at the end of this course. Truffle Carbonara 9.2/10 this was delicious as well. Personally, I do not get the appeal of the truffles. I jokingly even said to the waiter that it gives the note of... dirt... maybe a bit inappropriate for me to say but I was just being honest haha. Regardless, the carbonara was still hir between us and I kept finding myself picking at it instead of my sea urchin pasta. Grilled Monchong 8.6/10 delicious, nothing mind blowing but the fish was perfectly tender and flaky and flavored very well. Lamp Chop I cannot give a proper rating because I barely remember the one bit I had. It was fine I think? Presentation was funny though, as the thyme was lit and smoking when it arrived. Where is my smoking thyme?? jkjk. We were stuffed and the tiramisu was more than enough to finish the meal off. I would love to come back again the next time I get the chance to!
